As a Compliance Officer, you will play an essential role in achieving our ambitious goals. You will assist Floryn comply with all applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures. As Floryn's second line of defense, you will be responsible for identifying and assessing compliance related risks and fostering a compliance culture across the organization.
What your responsibilities will be
Assess and maintain the compliance risk framework, and update policies, procedures and controls according to applicable regulatory requirements;
Support and facilitate the operational departments with the implementation and embedding of the compliance risk framework, and translation of regulatory requirements into functional business processes;
Conduct monitoring activities and risk assessments on business processes and controls related to operational departments;
Develop and maintain a training program to educate all Floryn’s employees and enhance awareness on their responsibilities and accountabilities regarding risk management and compliance.
Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports to the Board of Directors and external stakeholders with an overview of Floryn’s compliance status and developments on the compliance program.
Who we are looking for
A proactive and self-directed approach, with strong ability to setting priorities and expectations, and solving problems;
A positive and engaging personality with willingness to learn and develop in the professional career;
Strong communication skills, and ability to deal effectively with different stakeholder interests while committing to comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements;
Advanced degree in law, business administration or comparable studies;
2-3 years of relevant work experience within a licensed financial institution (experience gained at consultancy firm is a strong plus);
Excellent English oral and written communication skills (fluency in Dutch is a strong plus).
